Justice B.N. Agrawal allowed Kapoor to release the film after he offered to deposit Rs.2 crore with the Bombay HC as security amount in a dispute on an advance he had taken from LMB Holdings, a B4U group company.

Additional CJM Ranjan Kumar passed the order on September 1, asking Kumar and LJP MLA Dularchand Yadav to appear before him after hearing a petition filed by Ashok Singh.

Reliance Natural Resources Limited served notice on Reliance Industries Limited and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry, conveying its intention to mention the matter before the court on Thursday.

The government is likely to amend its petition, seeking to make the Centre the main petitioner instead of the Petroleum Ministry. This decision is learnt to have been taken at a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. Law and Justice Minister Veerappa Moily and Petroleum Minister Murli Deora also attended.

India had banned import of milk and milk products from China in September last year and the ban has been extended to chocolate and chocolate products, Anand Sharma said during Question Hour.

He said the ban was imposed after it was found that some dairy products imported from China contained melamine, consumption of which is harmful for humans.

Similar action was taken on import of toys, which contained high lead content, he said. “Only those toys that meet international standards are being allowed to be imported to India,” he said.
